Greater clarity, confidence and energy for the next chapter of your leadership, work and life.
I work with leaders, business owners and people stepping into greater responsibility who want more clarity, confidence and purpose.
To the outside world, on LinkedIn and to colleagues, you may look successful. But privately you may be:
Some people come to me because they are close to burnout. Others are considering a new role, moving from management into leadership, changing career or simply want to stop reacting and start leading with more intention.
My purpose is to help you see the bigger picture, get clear on what is important to you, set better goals and create practical changes that give you more focus, energy and time back.
Purpose coaching is about more than improving performance in a role.
It is about understanding who you are, your unique skills, strengths, energy and personal experience, and how these align with the life, work, impact and legacy you want to create.
For some people, that means becoming a better leader. For others, it means changing career, stepping into a new role, building a business differently or finding more fulfilment in the work they already do.
We look at the whole person, not just the job title.
That can include your leadership, career, relationships, confidence, energy, health, family, ambitions and the bigger picture of where your life is heading and what you want to be remembered for.
The aim is to create greater alignment between:
When those things start to line up, work can become more than a salary or a job title. It can feel more rewarding, more energising and more purposeful.
People have described me as a “the purpose coach”, leadership coach, career coach, life coach and even “the mentor’s mentor”.
My approach brings together elements of leadership coaching, career coaching, mentoring and personal development.
I work with the whole person and help them find greater clarity, energy, purpose and impact.
Many of the leaders I work with spend years investing in their teams, organisations and responsibilities, but very little time investing in themselves.
We create that space.
Clients often become more confident in how they communicate with colleagues, more aware of the language they use about themselves and clearer about the value they bring.
Sometimes the change is simple: noticing a pattern, changing how you describe yourself or reframing something you once saw as a weakness as a valuable contribution.
That greater self-understanding can change conversations, relationships, decisions and how confidently you step into the next level of leadership.
This might be for you if…
Clients often come to me feeling overloaded, uncertain or stuck in a rut. Left unchecked, those pressures can start to affect work, relationships and health.
Through our work together, clients often:
For some, that has meant promotion to CEO or Director level. For others, it has meant changing organisation, reshaping a business, finding greater autonomy or simply getting their evenings and family time back.
The point is not always to move upwards. It is to move in a direction that is better aligned with who you are, how you work and the impact you want to have.
Most coaching relationships begin with around three months of support, with sessions roughly every fortnight.
Many clients choose to continue for six to twelve months, sometimes longer, until they feel they have achieved the success they were aiming for.
The relationship often evolves too, from dealing with immediate pressure or loss of direction into having a trusted sounding board, mentor and confidential space to think.
Sessions usually last between 60 and 75 minutes and are mainly online using Microsoft Teams or Zoom, although we may also meet face to face at my Manchester office, grab a coffee or occasionally walk and coach.
The relationship is structured, but not rigid.
We usually keep a journal of actions, reflections and things to notice between sessions. Bigger goals are broken into smaller, realistic steps so progress feels achievable.
We always agree actions. Sometimes I will set a creative challenge. That might be:
The support often continues between sessions too. Clients may send me an update after an important meeting, let me know how something went or even share a holiday photo when they have finally managed to switch off.
I coach the person, not the role.
I bring professional coaching skills, leadership experience, mentoring, storytelling and lived experience into the relationship.
I will listen, challenge, support and sometimes take the conversation somewhere neither of us expected.
The approach is always designed around you.
I only work with people who are willing to change.
You do not need to have all the answers, but you do need to be open, curious and prepared to act.
I work best with kind people, leaders and organisations I believe in, especially those trying to make a positive difference to others.
The relationship works best when there is trust, commitment and honesty on both sides.
Most clients choose to add GC Index profiling to their coaching.
The GC Index helps you understand where your energy for work comes from, the contribution you naturally make and how you work best with others.
It is highly personalised. No two profiles are the same, with thousands of possible combinations, so the conversation is based on your own data rather than a generic personality type.
The profiling usually adds two focused sessions to the relationship, so a typical three-month, six-session package can become eight sessions over around four months.
It can help you:
Clients also receive access to the GC Index platform, which can support future conversations, reflection and understanding how to work more effectively with others.
GC Index profiling is available as an optional investment alongside the core coaching relationship.
The relationship works best when there is honesty, commitment and trust on both sides.
I will not tell you how to live your life or how to do your job. My role is to help you think more clearly, see the bigger picture and make your own decisions.
I will listen carefully, question assumptions and sometimes challenge the first answer, but always with respect.
I will never judge you for finding something difficult or for not completing an action we have agreed.
I will challenge excuses, but I will always listen to honest answers.
I will not push you beyond what feels safe or appropriate, and I will never advise on medication or pretend to provide clinical mental-health support.
I have my own faith and spiritual beliefs, but I will never impose them on you or criticise yours.
We begin with a conversation.
It gives us both the chance to understand where you are, what you are looking for and whether working together feels like the right fit.
I do not work with everyone, and I do not expect everyone to choose me. The relationship has to feel right on both sides.
If we decide to work together, that might be a one-off focused session, an intensive half-day or a longer coaching relationship.
Most longer relationships begin with six sessions over around three months, with the option to extend or include GC Index profiling.
If your organisation is funding the coaching, I am happy to work directly with them to agree the right structure.
You do not need to have the answers yet. We can work that out together.
