Purposeful Mentoring Book

Helping you understand who has shaped you, what matters now, and the difference you want to make.

Purposeful Mentoring is a practical and personal book about the people, conversations and experiences that shape our lives.

It is for anyone who leads others, whether that is in work, business, education, communities or family life, as well as people leading themselves through the next chapter of their life or career.

It is for people asking questions such as:

  • Why do I get up in the morning?
  • What has brought me to this point?
  • Who has influenced the person I have become?
  • What have my experiences taught me?
  • What should the next chapter look like?
  • How can I use what I have learned to help others?

The book combines real stories with practical reflection. Each chapter includes a takeaway or exercise, helping readers apply the ideas to their own life, leadership, work and relationships.

Signed Copies

I keep a small number of copies that I can personally sign and post to you.

You can either pay the normal retail price of £14.99 or Pay As You Feel, and I’ll send you a contribution link. I’d rather the book reached someone who would genuinely benefit from it than price became a barrier.

Looking for a speaker or facilitator for your event, leadership team or organisation?

I deliver keynote talks, interactive sessions and workshops around Finding Your Purpose, Speaking from the Heart, Clarity, Energy and Impact, and Purposeful Mentoring.

Every session is shaped around the audience and what you want people to think, feel or do differently afterwards.

Why I wrote Purposeful Mentoring

Mentors have changed my life.

I have met and worked with hundreds of people who have shared their experience, challenged my thinking and helped shape me. It felt wrong to keep all of that wisdom to myself.

I wrote Purposeful Mentoring because I want more people to understand the impact mentoring can have on their lives, their work and their future.

I also believe we have a responsibility to support others in our families, workplaces and communities.

My aim is that the book helps people reconnect with their purpose, wake up with greater energy and clarity, and make better decisions about their career, relationships and the people they choose to surround themselves with.

Most of all, I hope it encourages readers to share what they have learned with others and leave a positive legacy.

What you’ll get from the book

Purposeful Mentoring is designed to be practical, not passive.

Each chapter includes a takeaway, reflection or exercise to help you apply the ideas to your own life, work and relationships.

As you work through the book, you’ll be encouraged to:

  • understand the people and experiences that have shaped you
  • reconnect with what matters most
  • gain greater clarity about your purpose and direction
  • make more intentional decisions about work, relationships and your future
  • recognise where your energy is going
  • think about who you can support, mentor and encourage in return

The aim is not simply to finish the book. It is to use it as a prompt to think differently, make better decisions and create a more purposeful next chapter.
